About Our Partners:
Tujijenge is Unitus’s newest partner MFI and is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Tujijenge means “let’s build ourselves” in Swahili; fittingly, Tujijenge has doubled its staff and client outreach in the past year. It is experimenting with innovative products like solar panel loans to better serve the working poor in their region.
Mimo Finance joined the Unitus Network in January 2008. Located in the Himalayan foothills of the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, Mimo Finance aims to serve semi-urban populations, 42% of which live below the poverty line. Mimo has set the goal of reaching 1 million poor households by 2015.
